Christmas Tour of Homes with The Nester

This is only the 2nd Christmas that we have spent in this house and I am so excited to be able to have the tree in the Family Room! Last year I was so afraid that I would not be able to keep j out of the tree! He is 2 1/2 and has done pretty well. I did find him with his hands in the water under the tree. When I asked him what he was doing he told be he was thirsty! I have also found many ornaments "hiding" all around the house!! He is having so much fun!

This is a close up of the NEW ornament that I got from my Bunco Christmas Party! Thanks Elizabeth! I think this is the neatest thing!! I am going to put one of these little scrolls at each place setting at Christmas dinner and have every family write "A WISH" and then we will place it back on the tree and next Christmas we can open it back up and read them!! What a fantastic tradition to start!!

This is my favorite part the massive bow at the top of the tree!

I just couldn't resist showing you my favorite ornament! Jack gave us this last year, he umm... "made it" at pre-school. Thanks to Ms. V & Ms. L! It made me cry!

Another of my favorite parts is the mantel. I LOVE our stockings they were a present last Christmas from my Mom and I think they are so me! Polka-dots, though I would never wear them, are so fun and of course the added surprise of leopard just makes these adorable!!

Your home is just beautiful. May many wonderful Christmas memories be made within its walls.

Our home is having an old fashioned handmade Christmas this year. I hope you will stop by.

That wish ornament is a great idea! I actually saw something similar, though now I can't remember where. In this case, though, they used a plain glass ball, like one of those that you buy at Michaels to make your own ornaments. It was a neat idea, though I imagine it would be REALLY hard to get the papers back out to read the next year, in that case!
