Peach Ice Cream!

I love, love, love the fact that I found some beautiful peaches this morning at the Farmer’s Market from Chesney, SC! We are having some friends over to swim and cookout this evening and I thought peach ice cream would be a fantab treat for dessert!! 


Peach Ice Cream
2 cups half and half 
1 cup buttermilk

4 whole peaches, peeled and sliced
3/4 cups of sugar
4 mint leaves, chopped  
2 t vanilla
2 T lemon juice
Toss peeled and sliced peaches with sugar and lemon juice, cover; refrigerate and let macerate at least for a couple of hours, preferably overnight or all day. Chop the peaches and mix with cream, buttermilk, mint and vanilla. Put in ice cream maker, turn on and ENJOY!!!!
